Patsy Walsh 1861 -
Irish Comedian and Champion Circle Walker
Little is known about this character who was born in Ireland in 1861 and came to England when he was 10 years old.
His earliest known appearance was at the Britannia, Glasgow in 1889.
10th February 1890 he played The Peoples Concert Hall, Rock Street, Oldham.
He was a friend of Charlie Chaplin Snr. and appeared on the same bill at The Royal Victoria Hall, London, on Wednesday 4th November 1891.
18th January 1892 he was at the Scotia Variety Theatre, 116 Stockwell Street Glasgow. There is a playbill for this which reads "Starring engagement of and welcome return of Patsy Walsh the Champion Circle Walker of the World".
He also appeared at The Grand, Manchester, Temperance Theatre of Varieties. Billed as "Champion Circle Walker of the World, The Talk of Manchester, Genuine Irish Comedian (The new Pat Feeney)"

It is not known when he stopped performing, or many other details of his life.
