Song Writers

George Ware

As noted above George was also an agent and details of this aspect of his life are to be found at this link: George Ware, Agent

George Ware, who became an agent when agency became so popular, was also a writer of songs. He was a prolific writer, as all songwriters had to be, considering the remuneration they received. He wrote "One Little Kiss" for Nellie Power, and her great song (which Marie Lloyd borrowed) "The Boy In The Gallery." For Mackney he wrote "The Whole Hog Or None."

"The Melodies Linger On" by Walter Macqueen-Pope
