Frank Allen

The name of Frank Allen is inseparably associated with the Moss-Stoll-Thomton firm. He was with Moss in his early ventures at the Waverley Market. In 1885 he was manager of Thornton's Varieties in South Shields. Later he became the director of the North Circuit of Moss and Stoll. He remained to become the managing director of those vast companies which at their height absorbed the talents of the actor-managers, Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree and Sir George Alexander.
