Coram

Coram (Thomas Whittaker) was one of Fred Russell's successors. He developed the idea of a single doll on the vents knee further by enabling his doll to walk, smoke, and even spit. Like so many dummies of the period, Corarn's 'Jerry Fisher' was uniformed - in this case in an army rank junior to his operator. Coram and Jerry Fisher worked the halls from the first World War until Corarn's death in 1937. Their material, though basic, set the pattern for many later acts.
